Project Black Mask launched with a boom on June 19th, 2007.
Tissue paper companies around the world have emailed me with thanks and praise as the collective crybabies of the world blew their noses and wiped away their tears long into the night, thus resulting in record sales.
We are in discussions with them for a sponsorship.
Forums around the net deleted posts about Project Black Mask, doing the ethical thing by turning their noses at nuisances such as democracy and freedom of speech.
Inflammatory blog posts sprung up right and left from so-called egg-spurts that shouldn’t even have the right to an inflammatory bowel.
So yes, I am the cockroach that wrote Project Black Mask. Chris McNeeney and the Day Job Killer Team are the guys with giant cojones that made sure this information could breakthrough the usual guru special blend of refried beans and tofu with “special sauceâ€.
Originality has a price. Project Black Mask was almost censored by the powers that be, just before it went live. However justice prevailed and the bad guys won, thus proving once again that who ever governs the balance of good and evil in this world has a sense of humor.
In all seriousness though, this is not a common ebook. I can count on the fingers of one hand the people that wouldn’t learn anything new from it. It has tips for all aspiring SEOs, which can be used for White, Grey, Black or Technicolor Hat.
It is not the pre-digested crap gurus feed the masses’ presumedly atrophied brains like the mother bird feeds her young’s delicate stomachs.
Before I go on to my normal life of eating babies and alleviating my angst by terrifying customer support representatives for no reason, I would like to thank those of you that have written in to congratulate us and otherwise make us feel good about our rotten selves.
I would also like to thank those that had something intelligent to say about Project Black Mask.
If you’d like to say congrats or thanks or something nice in the comments below, that’s cool. If you’d like to bitch, whine or flame, that is ok too. I might even be able to hook you up with some free Kleenex.
Don’t worry, I won’t be offended. The Higher Up has seen it fit to Spam my Life with mouth breathing meat puppets for quite some time now

Those that cry about this are penis wrinkles with better-than-you God complexes.
But then again, when you don’t understand something or are afraid of something, this is what happens.
I see this all the time…
“You should only build sites that last a long time in the search engines”
“Optimize for the visitor”
“Blackhat is immature”.
Screw that… real blackhatters have more brains in their pinkies than ‘white hatters’ have had in generations.
That’s all I have to say ’bout that!
Woody
Wow Woody,
You’ve set the bar pretty high for “badass comment of the week”
Rock on.
All I can say is thanks
My team and I were lucky enough to get a review copy as a JV Partner and although we have only made 1 sale we got a copy for ourselves and the videos and are now well on our way.
There are so many so called ‘gurus’ and people always telling you they are not one in the hope you will buy their new product, which is normally re-hashed, it is a real breath of fresh air to get good, honest and straight to the point info.
To all the rest of you, get it now, get the videos and get started today.
We wish you the best of luck
Hey Sophie,
Thanks for your comment. Best of luck to you too. And if you ever need some evil tips, you know where to knock
Hey Alex,
Congrats on a the launch.
From what I’ve seen in the past, you definitely know your stuff when it comes to SEO, and Chris and the other guys sure know how to pull off a great launch.
I’m sure everyone has their own opinion (and a lot of them have never even seen the book) but you know the stuff works so I wouldn’t worry about anyone else. Just keep doing what you do best!
Nice one Alex,
Richard
Hi, Alex:
Just purchased the Project Black Mask yesterday and spend yesterday afternnon and last night reading it. Obviously, as internet marketers, we each have to decide how we want to approach the vital issue of traffic. I myself believe that it is ok to take advantage of most methods to get traffic. Maybe when I get moreof it, I can be more selective in how I get it…but not today.
Regardless of how you see yourself as an internet marketer, you can learn some important info from “the Mask” And with the addition of the videos in the OTO, the info is very valuable. You have done a great job and I thank you for sharing this valuable information.
I would however, suggest that you have someone start your car for you for the next few days.
Regards
Mike
I got an advance copy of the book, which had your name in it and I was like, “Wow, that’s my pgi guy!” I didn’t know you were so infamous. Should I buy these videos if I already have my pgi insider membership, or is it the same basically? Secondly, if black hat frees me from my day job, it’s a line of work with mythical and almost holy status and anyone who teaches me how to do this is deserving of respect and accolades.
Alex, I had no idea it was you! haha…great job on the launch…I can’t see why even so called “white-hats’ wouldn’t appreciate some of the tips you’ve provided. There’s a little there for everyone, no matter which side of the fence you play on.
As for the forum bans, yep it happened. I should know, I started a post in the WF on PBM and BH stuff that had 35 replies in the first hour. (even got the hot burning flame rolling). Then, nothing. It was gone. Freedom of speech is sweet !
But as I said in the forum and I’ll say here, while Ive never done black hat, here’s my take on most internet marketing in general:
white-hats: overhype, over promise, usually underdelivers, all the while exploiting people (emotions and wallets).
black-hats: perhaps unethical by some, but black hats exploit search engines, not people.
As a user, which “scars” you more, a spammy website where you had to click away on an ad, or an overpriced marketing course that left you will an empty wallet and more discouraged than when you started, because what they taught was BS?
Anyway, congrats again. You know how it went for me (f** google), but I wont repeat that here. Let me know when you want to do that interview.
-Rian
Hey Guys and Gals,
Richard: To mine own self I shall be true.
Mike: Thanks a lot. Keep thinking for yourself. Are you volunteering to start my car?
Jen: It’s hard to say. Some of it overlaps, some is unique. Good luck on kicking the day job
Rian: I like the way you think, and not just because I agree. Sorry about Google meddling with your landing page. I’m ready when you are.
Thanks for your comments.
I’m feeling very proud today…I’m a cockroach’s friend…
Alex…the text above is brilliant…as Project Black Mask itself…I already read it twice…no kidding…and there’s always more to learn from it…like a unstoppable knowledge source…
Know what? I don’t know what to say…I already sent you a couple of emails to express my happiness…
Congrats buddy…many congrats…you deserver it…and way more…:-)
Luiz
Hi Alex,
I spent half of yesterday reading your archives because I learned you were the author of PBM and I had to see what else you had.
I’ve learned more new stuff in the last two days than I’ve learned in the last two years. Anyone that wants to learn something NEW for a change should definitely pick up Project Black Mask.
Hey Luiz,
Thanks friend. This cockroach sees big things in your future
Alex,
I just typed a comment but somehow it disappeared..so I’ll
post again…
I said I’m feeling very proud today…I’m a cockroach’s friend..
I read Project Black Mask twice and will read again…and again..as I find something new every time I read it…as an unstoppable knowledge source…
I already sent you a couple of emails expressing my
happiness about your success…but once again…congrats man…you deserve the best…always…:-)
Take care,
Luiz
Hey William,
Great. I hope you keep reading. Thanks for your comment.
Hey Alex,
Here’s two different email comments I got from marketers:
——————————————————
Just a quick warning – the methods that are recommended in the
latest hyped product Project Black Mask are outdated spammy page
generation methods that result in your need to create thousands of
Adsense sites using domains that Google no longer recognizes as
having any value.
They get delisted fast and you need to constantly create more.
This is not a business model.
Save your time and money.
On a scale of 1 to 10 – I rate this as Junk
================================
Every once in a while a big launch happens in the Internet Marketing industry. Today is one such launch. Chris (of Day Job Killer fame) is launching a new product called ‘Project Black Mask’. You will probably hear about it from a lot of Marketers. And you will see each one of them scrambling to get your money.
But is Black Mask really worth it? As you probably know, I am not the kinds to be taken in by the hype. So I got a copy and did a thorough review.
http://www.silentprofitmachine.com/MustHave/PBM.php
And here’s what I think about the product:
1) Project Black Mask talks about some really effective but advanced techniques to make money through Adsense and affiliate programs.
2) The techniques do work. I know this because, a while back, I had discovered the techniques myself and implemented them to generate good income.
3) The Black Mask techniques require some knowledge of blogs and adsense.
4) It is time consuming but can be highly rewarding.
5) Do not expect to generate cash one day one. But with some time and effort, you can expect to see decent returns within a week. And if you stick to it, the income will grow steadily.
6) Some of the stuff is ‘black hat’ – things that search engines would want to avoid. But then again, they pay off really well.
7) Chris calls it a billion dollar loophole. Well, I don’t know – billion dollar? loophole? That’s an exaggeration, but I can tell you one thing – the techniques do work. I have tested them myself and they work like a charm.
Well {firstname_fix}, there you have it – my honest opinion of Project Black Mask. Bottom line is – if you have some knowledge of Internet Marketing (or you are willing to learn them) and you can put in some time and effort, then Black Mask is just the ticket. It can generate a steady cash flow for you that will grow with time.
Hi Pete,
I would have rather had your opinion since all marketers have an agenda.
To the first email I would say, go read this, from a guy that doesn’t even hype his own products. Is it a business model? Judge for yourself:
http://fantomaster.com/fantomNews/archives/2007/06/19/marketing-clowns-unabashedly-clueless/
Read the whole thing please.
To the second email, I would say it’s rather balanced and accurate.
Extra note: don’t stick on the page generation too much, there are two methods in the book and the “Affiliate Slam” is deadly, as anyone who knows about it will attest.
Congrats on a great launch, O Super Cockroach!
When gauging the standard responses from the “ethical” marketing crowd, never forget that “white hat” is basically a profane type of religion, with “black hat” SEO playing the part of satanism in this specific mindset.
Of course, Old Nick has always been the more fascinating character in this drama, vide Dr. Faustus, etc.
Finally: People only ever get all worked up about things they can essentially relate to, whether they’ll admit to the fact – or even be aware of it – or not, heh.
I kind of feel left out. I didn’t get a preview copy or JV e-mail, nothing, pass the Kleenex please.
Anyway, the bottom line is the internet is not owned my any one person or entity, it’s like a vast open wilderness. Anyone can grab their own tract of land. If I decide to purchase a domain name and open a hosting account, I can upload and put whatever content I wish there.
I can write whatever code I want on the site to do whatever I want it to do. Now, if some bot that some company wrote comes and decides to read my content and I decide to serve a page optimized for that “visitor”, that is up to me, because it’s MY website they are coming to. The same way if I decide to server one page to a windows mobile browser compared to a firefox browser.
The bottom line is if it’s your site, that you’re paying for, you can do whatever you want with it. It doesn’t matter what some company thinks, whether that be some small search engine company you’ve never heard of or Google. However, you also must be prepared to accept the consequences if that company decides to change their algorithm.
Websites that have nothing to do with “Black Hat” also get deranked when there is an algorithm change. They also get deranked when the “white hat” guys build links or write that great content, even though their website might be a better fit for that keyword than theirs. How is that not unfair, or “black hat”? The bottom line is the world isn’t fair, there will never be utopia, so do what you have to to get ahead that is in line with your ethics.
I know “white hat” and “black hat” are just labels the SEO world uses, however, my main point here is that there is nothing inherently evil about it. It’s Google’s or any other search engine companies job to police the results they serve up. Both camps have the same objective, to manipulate the search engine’s rankings, they just choose different paths. However, whether you like it or not white hatters, in your Almighty’s eyes, you are the same because you too are trying to manipulate the rankings, and Google and like want a utopia web, a natural selection of links.
Hey Guys,
Fantomaster: polarity is a great way to pretend to have an opinion.
Justin: thanks for writing yet more of the stuff I would have said had I more time. I like Google juice, but I’ll pass on the Koolaid.
Alex,
I just purchased the E-Book. I’ve read it once and I can see I’m going to have to print it off and read it several more times. It is very involved and I know that I didn’t even grasp 1% of what was said.
I can’t wait to be one of the wealthy ones out there!
Working a real job sucks!!!!
Thanks for putting me well on my way to becoming a millionaire!
Kim
Hi Kim,
Thanks.
Printing it out is a very good idea. There’s tons of stuff in there and once you grasp it all you’ll be in the top 1% on the net.
White Hat – After 2 years of studying and acting on the “gurus” every word, my income couldn’t even afford me a hat. I was disheartened and mad. Outdated and rehashed rubbish that drained my bank account and IQ.
Black Hat – Almost 3 Months of PGI, Woody Maxim and Alex Goad and I can finally afford a hat. In the last 2 weeks my worst day of adsense income was $46. Affiliate sales are also starting to kick in. (Not bad for a couple of hours work thats simple to repeat.)
My business process is becoming more and more streamlined everyday, I’m testing, tweaking and finally feel like I’m in control. I have wiped lorry loads of “white hat guru” bollox from my hard drive and brain.
I read Project Black Hat over the weekend and read Project Black Mask last night. I have only one complaint which is – I cant seem to switch off since reading them. I even tried watching video clips of Jessica Alba and even she couldn’t distract me.
When I’ve finally calmed down, I will be working some of Alex’s techniques into my plan.
Here’s to Black Hat and to never again having a terrible $46 adsense day
Hey Kieran,
Now that’s what I’m talking about. Keep us updated on your progress. I’m very happy to hear you’ve been able to apply and make some cash. If you keep building, there’s only up to go from there.
I do Blackhat. I actually know you. Nothing wrong with the information. Just overblown and over hyped. And now you become the guru, selling the hyped up method names that the average internet marketing wanna be won’t be succesful at. It’s money grubbing and I now have as little respect for you as I do for google. Hope you can sleep.
Hi Alex and friends…
Here is the review I was expecting….this guy is dead serious when it comes to review a product…John Jonas…
On his own words:
“…And, If you’ll read and pay careful attention to
the concepts Chris talks about on page 55:
“Method #2: The Affiliate Slam”
It’s worth the price of the book alone. How many
times have you done a search for something recently
and had a “squidoo” page show up at the top of the
serps? I’ve done it quite a few times.
The “Parasitic Hosting” section is really, really
good info.”
And going further he says:
¨…So, here’s my take on Project Black Mask.
The book is very well written. It explains everything
you need to know.
The process it talks about for making money is
not a long term thing. It’s a short, quick hit.
But, if you catch the concepts he’s talking about, they
affect all online business you do really long term.
It requires technical knowledge, but it’s pretty
easy to learn.
If you haven’t yet made any money online, I would
suggest you try this. You can at least prove to yourself
that it’s possible to make money online.
Just remember that with most of the techniques
he talks about, you’re fighting an uphill battle
against some of the biggest guys in the game (Google,
Yahoo, MSN). You can make lots of money doing it, but
each day it becomes increasingly more difficult.
But, it works.”
John Jonas

Sorry to use that much of space here…but this guy opinion really matter.
Once again…congrats Alex…Great…excelent job dude…
Take care,
Luiz
Hey Guys,
Luiz: that’s another pretty balanced review.
Bad and Black: aka Brad Lee from http://specialgold.com.
The average internet marketer is successful at nothing. He should either get better than average or get a job. The information, as you said yourself, is good and real. Apply it and it works. What more do you want.
Grow a sack if “know me” and use your name when you leave a comment, it wasn’t exactly hard to find.
Ok. Firstly, I’m so glad I didn’t read this post until a TON of comments had been added.
Excellent comments. Cover a lot of what *I* would have said. Saves me lots of time!
Now… hold onto your hats… this ‘aint gonna be pretty…
I believe I’m beginning to understand the TWO-FACED HYPOCRISY, of the Internet’s so-called “free speech”:
a) ALLOWED: You are a terrorist, who wants to maintain a Website, showing your latest carnage of Dead Innocent Children, resulting from your latest Homicide Bomber, who puts nails in his bomb, just to make certain those Dying Children SUFFER before they die.
b) ALLOWED: You are an Islamofascist, who wants to post videos ALL OVER THE INTERNET, of yourself draped in cowardly goon-mask, decapitating your latest victim…
c) ALLOWED: You are a FAR Right-wing idiot, who wants to repeat the MESS in Iraq, by initiating more failed invasions of foreign countries. (Like Barak Obama, for instance, who in his recent speech revealed his true agenda for “repeating Iraq” throughout the world – see the few mainstream media who were brave enough to quote Obama’s speech on his true agenda…)
d) ALLOWED: You are a FAR Left-wing idiot, who cries baby-tears about the removal of a Sadamned Insane, by military force.
e) ***NOT*** ALLOWED: A black-hat “cockroach” launches his new ebook…
Thank you Mr. Internet, for revealing your true, “free speech” TWO-FACED HYPOCRISY…
I’ll go cool off now…
Ray
Hey Ray,
ALLOWED: Releasing a black hat ebook.
ALLOWED: Crying about it like a first class baby.
Thanks for the rich comment
If this thread keeps going much longer, I’m going to call godwin’s law http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin’s_Law
I could not resist…this one is really great…:

So Alex…you are the man “who made Google his b**ch!”
I can say you have fans Mr. Insider…awesome…:-)

There’s nothing new in Project Black Mask. I’ve been doing what the book talks about for almost half a year. I learned about it in another eBook that was written a in 2006 years ago.
Don’t believe the hype! Chris McNeeny is a marketing wizard. This is what he did before he went online. He knows how to build hype. Go read his sales page and you’ll have a serious itch that you’ll want to scratch by pressing the “buy now” button.
Don’t Do It!!!
He is a trained copywriter and assumes way too much about his readers.
I’m not whining — so no tissues needed. However, I don’t like misrepresentation. The only one who will be making any money with PBM is Chris Mcneeny and his team, fullstop.
Think about this: Take AWM, APX, DJK and now PBM and read the sales pages that say how much money you could make with it. It’s a lot more than chris can make selling these $97 eBooks. So why is he spending his time writing eBooks when he could make a ton more of money just implementing his methods?
I have a sneaking suspicion that he makes more money with his eBooks than he is ABLE to implementing the ideas in them.
Jonathan
hey alex,
well finally u launched it and seems you did it this time…
read comments here and there, but didnt read the book yet…
but i believe what u said, there is something new to learn from it for sure…
once i read the book will post my full review 2…
congrats and c u soon…
take care
Jean
“jonathan said,
…I learned about it in another eBook that was written a in 2006 years ago.”
Since when was “2006″ years ago? A year ago=singular=1 year prior to this year. Years = plural = more than one. Just thought I’d clear that up.
WOW! I guess it wouldn’t be that hard to figure out, would it? I read your response and then reached between my legs to check and OH OH, no sack! You are right. I want to apoligize. Although I did want to leave an anonymous comment, I did not want to leave a half written pile of mumbo jumbo. I started writing out a couple of rough points I wanted to make and then got called into a meeting. I shouldn’t have submitted it. I was kind of surprised that you approved it though. I give you credit for that. No, I don’t know you. I have been reading your blog for a little while and assume that you are knowledgeable marketer who uses lots of different tactics to accomplish what you want. But you know why I get bitter about PBM? Because after years of frustration trying to make a buck on the net,
I finally found a few tactics that gave me an edge in a couple of little niches. Now you are spreading those tactics, and more, all over the place. Oh well. I guess I better put my childish jealousy aside and start using all the ideas in the book. I hope you make a boatload of money Alex. All you people thinking about buying? You should, before you get left behind.
Good Luck, and thanks for not slappin’ me too hard.
Brad
I have read this book about 5 times now and I have a lot of questions still.
It says that I can email someone with any questions, but yet, I do not see an email address.
Did I just overlook it in the vast array of information, or is it just simply not there?
Please advise.
I can’t start using it until I understand it.
Thanks so much!
Kim
Hi Kim,
You can email me directly at netfrontiermarketing.com (alex).
Thanks!
I think I emailed you!
Kim
Alex, I like your writing and I like your weblog but PBM is a bit of a disappointment. I wouldn’t touch anything that Chris McNeeny promotes after the debacle of Guru Slayer (and Duvet Dollars) and the mediocrity of Day Job Killer (the first two releases were alright).
But after I read this post, I bought it on your own reputation. Had you released it here as an ebook you probably would have done just as well financially. And you could have omitted the Chris McNeeny intros about “how this information could make you really and truly rich”.
I have to say that I quite agree with Jonathan. A superficial reading indicates more hype than innovation. The MFA witchhunt is on full force now at the Googleplex so you’ve released information with a fairly short shelf life at this point. Somebody doing it shouldn’t leave the game yet, but I’m not sure this is what I would be heading off to learn now.
Surprised to see you in bed with this pack of wolves.
Keep writing the weblog though!
I don’t think you would have sold as many copies, but by the time you factor in 75% affiliate commissions and sharing the wealth with Chris McNeeny’s team you are down to a $26,950 cheque out of the opening day windfall of $308,000 (4000 purchasers at $77).
That’s starting to look like record label splits with the artists (not quite but…). Pursued with the goal of notoriety, it was probably a good move (although one is known by the company one keeps – not sure that you’ve increased your credibility) – to enable you to sell your own product.
And the info has a definite shelf life, so you are not losing anything you’d be able to sell in six months or a year (IMHO).
Hi Alec,
You’re a smart guy and I give you credit for that.
The MFA witchhunt is somewhat imagined as I have stated before. I move away from Adsense more and more and towards the “affiliate slam” and sending traffic to anything but Adsense. It pays more.
I started working on this with Chris before I even heard the name Guru Slayer and I can tell you that Chris is one of the most competent and intelligent people I have had the pleasure of working with.
Thanks for stating your opinion in a clear intelligent manner.
Well, I think you did a great job Alex! Everything was explained in a logical and very easy to undertand manner.
Two things though…
1. Where is the video on the “Affiliate Slam”?
2. How can I hijack a .edu url for a Viagra promotion?
I just wanted to follow up with anyone who might be reading and tell them that I did receive a personal email from Alex after posting that I had questions.
This gentleman is top notch and I look forward to using his tips and tricks, and any others that he might put out in the future to get my little slice of the internet pie.
Thank you so much!
Kim
I’ve read most of PBM… and there are some really great techniques in there… but I do already know quite a bit about SEO and I didn’t learn a lot I didn’t know.. but I did learn some techniques that can make those skills even more valuable…
Thanks Alex (AKA. The Cockroach) lol i think my nickname of
coolest guy on the planet is the best
But google hasn’t fully caught on to it yet… they put me on the fifth page 48 hours after my post.. but im only up to the 3rd.. lol.. must beat brad callen..
But I’m rambling.. so i better get back to work (;
Sincerely, The 16 year old marketer
Cody Goodman
Hey Guys,
Argy: you will get both the 6th video and missing chapter shortly.
Cody: Cockroach is not a nickname I’m hoping will stick
Hi Alex:
Great book and excellent vids! Admittedly though, I have seen the techniques before but stupidly just pushed them aside as more hyped up b.s.
Looking back, did I ever miss the boat!
Anyway, perhaps it’s time now to launch a forum and membership site.
Just a thought…
Jim
I haven’t bought it, reviewed it, or even asked Alex for a copy to review, mainly because it wouldn’t have suited my audience.
However I do know that Alex earns a living doing this stuff. A lot of ebooks are written by people who haven’t got a clue, and who don’t actually use the techniques they write about.
Most ebooks you can find the information somewhere else, very few contain anything that is totally unique. The value is in how the information is presented and collated to enhance understanding.
The same is also true of almost all paid membership sites, and almost all tools there are normally free or cheaper alternatives.
The true value in an ebook is providing a system, but it only has value if the reader follows through.
Hi Alex, i would like to ask, you say to get .edu for parasite hosting buy you didnt explain how to set up a page on a .edu domain how would i do this?
Thanks!
Hi Guys,
Jim: I’ve been thinking about a forum for a while.
Andy: Thanks for dropping by. Applying what you learn is the lesson lost on hoards of the unsuccessful.
SJS: We had to pull that section last minute. You’ll get that “missing chapter” by email shortly.
[...] Project Black Mask [...]
Alex,
Hi, I also purchased P:BH last week and I have read the material and I don’t think it is “unethical” or “dishonest” at all. It’s smart. and “outside the box.” That being said, I sent an email to the support center yesterday with some questions, please get back to me as soon as you can.
Thanks!
Hi Marc,
You should have a reply already, I answered all of yesterday’s support tickets a couple of hours ago
