I was looking at my business today and started asking myself what made a big difference for me, in the past and today…
One of the most instrumental parts has always been “getting a ton of inbound linksâ€.
Over the years, I’ve gathered quite a collection of sites where anybody can claim a one way back link within seconds, complete with anchor text.
Now, some of these are dead obvious and likely you have them already on your link radar, but others are more obscure and provide high quality backing.
My preferred way of attacking this has been to put aside 10 minutes a day where I submit one of my sites to 10 different services such as these. It keeps the traffic flowing and the rankings on the rise…
And if I’m doing a googleizer or sniping a keyword, then I just turn on the mustard full blast…
Well this is my list of sites I’ve compiled till now.
If you have a solid one of your own and would like me to add it, I may be able to do so…
For now I simply suggest you download the list to use now or whenever the occasion next presents itself. Note that 95% of these sites are “do-follow†so you receive full link joy from them.

There is no optin, no upsell, nothing of the sort, it’s just small token of appreciation for being a loyal subscriber.
P.S. It would be really cool if we got together to make this list “the list” of free do follow backlinks. If you make any significant contribution, I will be happy to link you and give you credit here and within the document itself…

Awesome list Alex. Thank you.
WOW – great resource!
Thanks Alex. I am just getting started with some websites and this will save me a TON of time.
Thanks for this Alex. I was actually just in the process of taking the time to compile on paper my own bookmarking and backlink sties and set up a system (also on paper), when I received this from you.
This will definitely save me some time.
Appreciated,
Jane
Wow!
Alex, you’re one of the few out there who, when you give away a freebie, it’s something of REAL VALUE.
What a great list!
Thanks, man.
Thanks Alex!
Is good to see you back with great advise and ideas as always.
I was wondering if you could provide some info about how the members of Google Conquest and the system is doing.
Are you also incorporating Article Marketing into Google Conquest?
Thanks again and looking forward to more updates of your blog
Thanks Alex -very comprehensive list. I think I need to oursource this!
All The Best
Alex
Out of the shadows come Alex G… nice to hear from you.
Thanks for the list, I will certainly use this to my advantage to dominate my various niches.
Nice to see you make a blog post after all this time and thanks for the list. That’s more than enough to keep me busy.
Karl
Hey Alex,
This is awesome and thank you very much.
Mike
Thanks for the useful list Alex. For some reason, the PDF cuts-off at Page 13…and is blank from there onward.
Best, @DonRoberts
How do you get a higher PR? I know it’s not completely necessary to have, but I am interested in getting higher than just PR1. Is it mostly based on number of backlinks or the PR of incoming links?
From July 2008 to March 2009?
I can see you put a lot of work in this great list Alex, but nearly a year?
hahaha,
Thanks for sharing!,
Walt
That list is big and very helpful, but what I find amazing is how many of those links I have known about for a long time. In fact I offered up 500 of the best do-follow blogs with a PR. It was on an old blog site and I never saved it, but I still have the links and you have about 50 of them listed.
Good minds think a like
Hi Alex,
Thanks a lot for the list. It’s a great resource and will help a lot with my promotions.
Daniel
Wow, what can I say. Free?
Thanks a million Alex
Cheers,
Pat

Alex,
Thank you for taking the time to compile the list of “link getting” sites for us. I really enjoy your resources – especially the videos (I’ve been watching your helpful tips for quite a while
Pearl
Thanks, Alex
You made my day, I am still laughing. I am pretty new at all this so any help I get is appreciated. I read the July Post as well, and boy did you nail that one on the head. What I don’t understand is that everyone is selling stuff to improve your website…What the one I don’t know how to build? or how to improve your emailing techinques…to the list I don’t have? I would just love it if more of them started from the beginning, or at least some of them you trust.
Thanks! I appreciate the list as I am sure it will speed up my link building campaign.
Thanks Alex.
You Rock.
Tim
Hey, thanks for the list, it will come in handy. I’m building my own also. I will send it to you when I get the time to put it all together.
Wow, that’s massive. Thanks man, it’ll be an addition to the sites I use when building my LinkWheels and otherwise using Web 2.0.
Thanks,
Linus

Hi Alex, Caught this email nice and early … thanks for the free gift … Put a newer photo on this blog
thanks much Alex for the list. I will use it and do appreciate your generosity. We all need links and getting a list of places to do this will make the project faster for me now.
Thanks Again.
Generous and insightful… “As ye sow, so shall ye reap…”
Hope you reap thousands of benefits!
Hey Alex,
Great resource. Thanks!
Dave
Nice list indeed, Alex, thanks. Have you please got a .txt version?
Thanks man. Very generous of you.
Thanks Alex. That’s a huge list – very much appreciated. I will start doing as you do.
Cheers and thanks again,
Doug.
Wow, that’s a huge list of sites. Many thanks Alex.
As much as I’d like to contribute, I’m yet to compile such a list. I do a bit of social bookmarking, but have also been using Comment Kahuna which is great for finding high PR do follow blogs in a particular niche that you can leave a comment and URL on.
Hey Alex great list!
I have a few up in coming sites to add:
http://www.webs.com
http://www.blogher.com
http://www.mylot.com
http://tipd.com
http://wis.dm
Enjoy!
Hey Alex, I had a quick look at a few random sites in this list and didn’t see any obvious way of submitting a site and creating a one way back link as you suggest? Obviously this is not a problem for the Directories in you list. It’s the social bookmarking, blogs and classifieds – How do get back links from those sites?
Hi Alex,
That was an awesome list and i don’ think there are any more great websites on the internet
Again the PDF was only 13 pages but with remaining pages blank it is shown as 32 pages. Don’t know what’s wrong. Can you please check it.
Hey Alex,
Are you always using all of those links?
What would be more useful would be the 10 to 25 places you find give the biggest kick for your trouble…
You could even rank them by hassle factor and boost factor.
Just as a list of hundreds of places to seek links, it’s kind of you to share but not the fast track.
Thanks anyway.
Hey Alex,
Thanks a lot for sharing Link Building Database.
This would indeed help us to take our online business to the next level
Regards,
Taqi
Alex, I’ve downloaded the PDF report. When I opened it says it’s a 32-page document, however there is content only up to page 13th, pages 14 to 32 are all blank pages.
Hey, this is not a complaint. I just want to make sure my PDF reader isn’t getting blind…
Anyway, it’s great information, thanks for sharing.
[...] Yesterday, I connected with a one-time client, Vinny, who is a Cadillac enthusiast who happens to also live in New York City. Though I’m not able to attend the New York International Auto Show in April, he will be there and plans to take plenty of pictures of various Cadillac models and concepts. [...]
Thank you for the useful list, very helpful. Just wondered why the pdf has 32 pages when pages 14-32 are blank?
Thanks Alex,
A great list of useful link resources.
I am glad to be on your list.
Regards
Alain
Thanks for this great resource Alex. I’ll be sure to refer to it in my own marketing processes.
