Uh... we're all sober here in Leafs territory - it's the Habs fans who are stoned...
;)

Back to business: If Kieran decides to take you up on your "guest poster" offer - I'd be one of his first readers. Of greatest value, however I think, would be Kieran's discussion of the specific things that worked - and that did NOT - on his way upwards to "$170/day"...

Great Stuff. See, now you can sell an ebook:"How a Canadian Alcoholic kicked Amazon's butt"

Or you could keep up the good work ;)

Quote from Alex:
"Plus it feels like so much work. More work than you’ve ever been accustomed to doing.
BUT
Then it starts working and you realize how fast you are learning. Very soon, you look back and determine how far you’ve come and how much you know now that you didn’t before."

You're so right here, Alex.

Getting started in "Internet Marketing" is damn tough! (Far tougher than the "buy my latest e-book" 'gurus' lead you on to believe.)

And it gets depressing:
-You're using a key website - and they totally revamp their site, so you have to re-learn from scratch, how to use it to your advantage.
-Or you put in many hours (days?) working on a new technique, only to find out that the 'guru' who recommended it - is full of sh**!
-Or of course, Google decides to arbitrarily (and arrogantly) redefine the 'winners & losers'.

BUT

Then suddenly, unexpectedly, you achieve a minor "breakthrough". Just one of these babies, once in awhile, is enough to put a smile on your face AND...
"...you look back and determine how far you’ve come and how much you know now that you didn’t before."

For me, the latest "motivator", was seeing my 'lowly' website (only a few months old), kick Amazon.com out of first place, taking over the #1 spot on Google for my primary keyphrase!

Alex ,
Thanks a mill for the sound advice and answering my questions.

"You DO become a different person. The new found faith in yourself fills you with ideas and vitality. The new strength this builds inside you makes work a pleasure rather than a pain. Hard work is no longer unpleasant, it’s a challenge you welcome with open arms."

Well said sir. That sums up exactly how only a couple of months of hard work has changed my life.

Nead - Get some sleep man :). Tiredness can cause some costly mistakes.

Rian - So true, my family are baffled. Dad is sure I've robbed a bank and mom thinks somebody kidnapped the old kieran and replaced him with a fatter and smarter Kieran.

Wishing you all the best.

I hear ya Kieran....

My biggest enemy in this whole process has been me. It's taken a while for me to learn how to get out of my own way, but damnit it feels good now that its working. "Why procrastinate? I can do that later..."

Friends and family doubted, laughed, and mocked. But they can't say sh** in the face of a nice bank account and new found freedom on peace of mind that the IM experience can bring.

So yeah....work you're ass of, lose sleep, cancel your mindless entertainment outlets, and get to work. With persistence and patience, it will payoff....and in this business, it happens to pay off big time.

Hey Nenad,

I'm with you on both points: sleep deprivation. And ya, it does make one emotional: success is inspiring.

That was a truly beautiful post, I really feel like getting off my ass and doing more for my business... It almost brought tears to my eyes for some reason (might be lack of sleep, though)....
