As if it wasn’t enough that Adsense and Internet Marketing had to die so abruptly, it seems Russell Brunson is announcing the “Death of Affiliate Commissions.â€
Can I still cash my checks this month you ask? Only if your conscience allows you to make money at the expense of the terminally ill.
Actually, Russel makes some pretty valid points.
In a nutshell, he explains how many merchants are going from CPA (cost per action or acquisition – read sale) to CPL (cost per Lead).
Essentially, these merchants are buying a hot optin prospect to which they can then market their products and services. This replaces the traditional affiliate model that only pays on hard sales.
Completion rates are traditionally higher but payouts proportionally lower. It’s a very powerful way to build a list at a fix cost per subscriber…
I must say I’m still a little bit surprised at the huge gap that exists between Internet Marketers in the Warrior Forum sense of the term and more main stream marketers on the internet.
CPA and CPL are no where near new but it seems the Internet Marketers are about to catch on.
I’ll be working on a post and special report in the near future detailing how I have been able to cash out on CPA offers for the last 18 months with relative ease in a non-traditional manner. While building a huge list.
Let’s just hope nobody kills off CPL before its time, we’re running out of graves here at the Internet Pantheon of Former Glory.

Hi Alex,
Like I just said on Russel’s blog – if it gets posted -, it was finally time that some of you ‘internet marketers’ that are into blogging and sharing your experiences with the masses out there, start talking about this kind of marketing.
I know you have been doing it for a while now
and would love to read here about your experience. I know I have some other ‘big names’ in the industry that already joined the wagon, but confidentiality obliges me to keep it to that.
Cheers,
Jad
Yup, I’m preparing a series of posts. Maybe you could be interviewed for one. Let’s get in touch.
