AffiloJetpack

AffiloJetpack

AffiloJetpack is something I like to think of as a “content solution” for those who really want to make money online.  Mark Ling is the super affiliate behind AffiloJetpack, which has about 8 or 9 months of intensive development behind it.  By the end of this article, you’ll know why we refer to it as a content solution, and why having good, readable, high-quality content is one of the most critical ingredients to a successful online marketing business.

The simple goal of this article is to inform you about one business model that’s been proven for years, and to show you that AffiloJetpack is a great asset for those who choose this business model.  It’s a combination of affiliate marketing and list-building.  (If you don’t know what these are, don’t worry: I’ll define them for you.)  I’ll also ilustrate some potential hurdles and pitfalls that people who try to follow this model come across.  I’ll then show you how Mark Ling’s AffiloJetpack solution overcomes these hurdles for you.

So…What Does It Take To Really Start A Successful Business Online?

To be sure, there are many, many business models you can follow.  Actually…some aren’t even business models, because they’re just scams and fly-by-night operations.  It can be very difficult to tell the true, long-term business models from the schemes and the scams, especially with a lot of hype and false promises out there.

Just keep in mind that most long-term successes usually require a certain amount of work, especially in the beginning.  After you reach a certain threshold, you start to see the success you were building.

Anyway, a number of years ago, I heard that if you want to start a business, you have to know what people need (or want), and give it to them. Yes, this is very simplistic, and you probably knew that, but if that’s the case, why do so many people still fail?

Of course, there are a number of reasons why people still fail.  Two major reasons are: faulty business model, and second, even if they follow a good business model, certain unforseen hurdles get in the way.  These hurdles prevent you from having all the pieces in place, and at this point, many either stall or give up.

Affiliate E-Mail Marketing: A Very Viable Business Model (If You Have All The Pieces)

Let me take a quick moment to define affiliate marketing for you: basically, you agree to promote a certain product or service.  You don’t have to be the creator of the product or deliver the service.   When you refer people to that product or service, and they buy, you earn a commission.   This can all be done through the Internet.  In a way, it’s like you (or your website or your e-mails) become a digital salesperson.

There’s also e-mail marketing.  No, I’m not talking about spam.  The type of e-mail marketing behind this business model is legal and moral.  It’s called permission-based e-mail marketing.   Another term is opt-in (or, double-opt-in) e-mail marketing.  Don’t let the term “opt-in” scare you: it just means that the person has given you permission to sent them e-mails (some of which may have a commercial intent).
This is different from spam, which just involves sending messages to people who haven’t given you permission to.

Listbuilding is just the act of growing the numbers of people (subscribers) who have given you permission to send them e-mail messages.

An autoresponder is just an e-mail marketing tool that you can use to send e-mails to the people who have given yo permission to send them e-mail messages.

So, can you start to see what affiliate e-mail marketing entails, and why it’s a viable business model?

Think about it: On one end, you’re promoting a good, solid product or service.  On the other end, you have a growing list of people who are potentially interested in the offer you’re promoting.  You (or rather, your automated autoresponder) send them an e-mail message suggesting (selling) the product or sevice you recommend.  When they buy, you earn a commisson.

This can happen over and over again, resulting in multiple commissions.

This e-mail-and-profit cycle is so well-established that one of the mantras of Internet marketing is to “build your list” and develop a “relationship with your list”.

But, people still meet some big hurdles with this business model, and these hurdles can lead to frustration and failure…

Common Affiliate Marketing Hurdles/Pitfalls: Have These Happened To You?

What follows are some of the biggest hurdles that people who have attempted to follow the affiliate marketing business model have faced.  If you’ve failed at affiliate marketing before, or are not where you want to be, I’d bet that, other than just not doing the work, one of these hurdles is to blame.  If you’re new to your affiliate marketing journey, knowing this will be a great asset to you, and will really help you see how AffiloJetpack is the solution you’re looking for.

Hurdle #1 is a generalization, #3 and #4 are the ones that take the most time, and #5 is the most important…

Affiliate Marketing Hurdle #1: Knowledge, Effort, Time, and Skill

I sort of hesitated to list this one, because it’s an overriding hurdle that can seen as a generalization of the more specific hurdles listed below.  And beyond that, it’s only to a matter of degree that this is even a hurdle.  That is, in any viable business model, you do need knowledge, effort, time, and some minimal skill level.  Yes, there’s a wide gamut of knowledge and skill: the experienced affiliate marketer is obviously a lot more knowledgeable and skilled than the beginner.

They key here is that there are tools in place (such as AffiloJetpack) that minimize the size of this hurdle.  For example, having to create enough content is an enormous, almost Hurculean, hurdle for any affiliate.  However, with AffiloJetpack (which is why I consider it a content solution), the content hurdle is greatly minimized…and in fact, is not really a hurdle at all.

Affiliate Marketing Hurdle # 2: Having To Create A Website

If you know how to create a website, great, but do you know how to create one that’ll be successful?

If you don’t know how to create a website, then that might be hurdle that requires time and effort to get skilled at…unless you were handed some pre-designed websites or had a tool in place that drastically minimized the time it would take you to put up a profitable website.

And even if you know how to put up a website, there are most likely ways you can put up better ones…

Affiliate Marketing Hurdle # 3: Content – Having To Create An Autoresponder Series

Did you know that it can take up to 7 messages before a potential buyer responds?  That is, you sometimes (not all the time) have to tell someone (your subscribers) about something (the offer you may be promoting) about 7 times before they buy.

But also, you don’t want to be too aggressive or “burn out” your list of subscribers by sending them too many sales-oriented e-mails: you also want to blend in some real content, some how-to’s, and information that they can benefit from without having to buy anything.

This is a fine balancing act…and…it’s best to have a lot of these messages in place, because they’ll be rotated as more and more people join your e-mail list.

Imagine trying to write a good mix of informative and sales-oriented e-mails—enough to last a year.  Let’s say, 75 e-mail messages, each about 600 words long.  Even if you were good at researching and writing (which a lot of us aren’t), imagine how big of a hurdle that would be.  Even if you outsourced this, it would cost a lot to get a good writer to do all that for you.

Affiliate Marketing Hurdle # 4: Content – Having To Create Web Articles

To create a good impression on your site visitors (and potential subscribers), you have to have a site that’s authoritative on the subject they’re interested in.  One way to portray that authority is to have enough informative articles on that subject.  Again, another hurdle: Remember having to write essays on subjects you had to research?  Imagine having to do that, except that, instead of one essay, you had to research and a series of about 20 articles.

Notice that hurdles #3 and #4 were both content-related: Content creation takes a lot of time, effort, and expertise.  It’s very, very difficult to succeed (at least, with this business model), without well-researched, well-written articles and how-to e-mails.

Affiliate Marketing Hurdle #5: Niche and Market Research

Market research is perhaps the most important part of affiliate marketing.  To be sure, you have to know whether there’s a market for what you want to promote, what that market is willing to spend, and how you can reach them.  There are many, many methodologies and tools to help you do this.

Many affiliates know how important this is, and hence, they spend a lot of time (too much time, actually), on this step.  This is a big, big hurdle, because people know that if they pick the wrong market or the wrong offer, everything else is for naught, no matter how well they try to do.  The fear of picking the wrong market (or, the unending need to pick the “perfect” market) is what keeps a lot of affiliates marketers stuck at this stage, never able to move forward with confidence.

Affiliate Marketing Hurdle #6: Getting Targeted Traffic/Interested Visitors

Getting targeted website traffic is an ongoing concern for web businesses.  There are many, many ways to do this, and some are more viable than others.  There are also paid and free ways to do this.

AffiloJetpack: The All-In-One Affiliate E-Mail Marketing Solution

In light of the 6 major hurdles listed above, what if a super-affiliate (who’s been making money online since 1999) were to:

  • Do your market research for you and, using his years and years of expertise, pick markets and offers that were sure to buy and sell,
  • Create the e-mail messages  you were going to need, with a good blend of knowledgeable, informative and sales-oriented e-mails,
  • Give you about 20 well-researched, well-written articles to put on your site,
  • Give you all the elements of a pre-done website and a one-click install solution that would minimize the knowledge, time, and effort you’d have to put into creating your attractive website, and
  • Give you the training you need to drive traffic to your site?

That’s what AffiloJetpack gives you.  Some have said that even the content components themselves (the e-mails and artcles) were worth it—they eliminate 2 of the greatest hurdles.  That’s why I consider AffiloJetpack a “content solution”.  But it’s more than that, since it gives you virtually everything you need to set up some solid Internet real estate.

In conclusion, if you really want to start a successful online business and earn money on your own terms, I think you can see why AffiloJetpack is a viable investment for you.

Affiliate Pre-Sell Model

Posted by alex On June - 1 - 2007

Before I stop accepting submissions for the sales letter series and get to work on that, as one of my more astute readers pointed out, I should detail how to write an affiliate pre-sell.

This is something I’ve grown quite good at and regularly achieve excellent conversion rates with, either on this blog or on other sites.

Before posting an actual demo and “reasons why”, let’s examine the different formats an affiliate pre-sell can assume.

Earners Blog – What do You Earn?

Posted by alex On February - 24 - 2007

Internet marketers are cheap as hell when it comes to giving links and talking about other people unless there’s a buck to be made. Otherwise what’s the incentive right?

I mean you only stand to leak some of your traffic and make the other guy affiliate commission so why in the world would you do it?

Ah, good question. Well the answer is simple. That other person happens to be giving away information so valuable that it’s worth taking that risk to let your own readers in on it.
