When selling, a sure-fire formula is: “ Problem- Agitate-Solution”. Here’s how it works:
Problem:
Find the prospect’s pain and identify it as clearly as possible. “It hurts right here, yes?”
Agitation:
This is the equivalent of finding the pain and then poking it with a sharp stick, pouring vinegar on the wound until the prospect is yelling “stop! I can’t take it anymore, anything to make it go away!”
Solution:
Now that your prospective customer is writhing in pain, practically begging for relief from the real problem they have which you have now created a monster out of, it’s time to offer a solution.
Of course this was your primary objective all along…
That’s what this piece of Charles Atlas’ marketing does. Scrawny wimp on the beach. Jock kicks sand in his face. Girlfriend practically calls him a coward. He buys Atlas’ book and bulks up. Back on the beach, he catches up with the Jock and socks him one. His girlfriend swoons while other women gawk at his biceps.
Gotta love it

Bum Marketing - How To Get Started
In this article, I’m going to describe how I got involved in Bum Marketing, but more importantly, how YOU can get “quick-started”, by skipping all the initial mistakes I made. I’ll also warn you about some other “potholes” to avoid (more…)
Google Gives John Chow a Handjob
Warning, this short post contains sexual innuendo (guess it’s too late for the warning now
) as well as a completely unproven conspiracy theory.
Google’s Problem
People are selling links which influence search engine rankings. Google hasn’t found a real way to do anything about it. They can identify some links algorithmically but not most of them.
Result: smart link buyers / traders are getting away with murder and Google’s got their undies in a bunch over it.
Google’s Solution
Since they can’t find a real solution to this problem, they go for the next best thing: viral scare tactics.
Oogabooga!
So what they do is chop the PR (read little green bar) down for many of the prominent SEO and marketing blogs.
Big mouth belly button worshippers these bloggers are, (more…)
Bum Marketing - The Promise
In this article, we’re going to look more closely at how the Bum Marketing system works.
For each Major Step, we’ll look at what that step is; what that step demands from you; and how that step “promises” to help you make money.
According to Travis Sago (the “Grandfather” of BM), here are the Major Steps.
Step 1: Find 5 products to promote
This idea here, is to have multiple simultaneous promotions going on at once. That way, you don’t risk getting stuck on bad product. (more…)
Bum Marketing: Complete Waste of Time?
Many of you are still looking for the “right” Internet Marketing business model. You know what I’m talking about. The “plan” that’s going to put you “over the top” (whether that means breaking 6 figures, or just making enough to quit that “lousy” job of yours).
I “feel” ya! I’m there too… (more…)
New Guest Blogger on Net Frontier Marketing
Yes, it was about time.
Posting has been on the thin side lately. Very thin. I could go on with reasons, justifications and a whole load that would bore you to death while sounding like excuses, so I will dispense myself of it immediately and seize this occasion to introduce a brilliant new blogger to the scene. (more…)
6 Conversion Crimes of Landing Page Design
A huge measure of your success in affiliate marketing or product sales depends on your landing page. Its ability to convert visitors to your MDA (Most Desired Action) is directly proportional to the amount you are able to invest to acquire a new customer.
This entails opening up new traffic sources that would not be profitable with low conversion rates. Thus conversion efficiency is one of the most determining factors in the scalability of your operation.
Yet a large part of the internet population focuses almost entirely on traffic acquisition, throwing ever more resources (be they time, content, links, etc) at it rather than building from the ground up and making sure whatever traffic you do get creates money in your pockets. If you’re not able to generate returns on PPC advertising, this is the main culprit. (more…)
IM Myth: Russell Brunson, 800 pound Gorilla
I hate “viral reports” that pay you a buck to pass them on.
You might know the genre from such nauseating classics as “The Death of Adsense” and “The Death of Internet Marketing”. (more…)
