The bids are etremely low and Ebay is (was) not voluntarily bidding on those terms. They just scraped together huge keyword lists including everything imaginable and used Adwords Dynamic Keyword insertion to serve ads…

So how are Ebay making this worthwhile? I would have thought the click through rate would be high, simply out of curiosity, but the conversion very small. Are Ebay simply flushing money down the toilet?
